NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
folded to me in MP2. villain is 17/7/.5 and no read on BTN as he just sat in. do you cbet 70%-75% of pot here or c/f? i called the reraise mainly looking for [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]'s. is the AQ dominated too often here, plus a fd is onboard... thoughts???

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
Have you seen a minraise before from this Villain? I'm usually inclined to believe it is a big hand. I also would call the PF raise looking for [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]'s
As played, check. I don't like betting here because he may minraise and that leaves us in a crappy spot. I probably fold to a pot sized bet but i would be inclined to call a donk bet and re-evaluate. |

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
The only thing you're behind to is AA, KK, AT and A5, TT and 55.
Pot this flop and take it down. If you get raised, you're probably beat and you can fold. You're not calling that $0.60 on the flop and not bet out when your card hits. BTN could have anything. Unless you have reason to suspect CO or BTN has a PREMIUM hand, pot this flop. |

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
I would check-call or check-raise the flop.
Leading is bad IMO. If you lead, one of the villain may dont believe you and may raise you out of the pot with worse hand - AJ for example. Also you force weaker hands QQ/JJ/KK fold correctly. Just check and try to get value from worse hands. |

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
I think check-calling is a good way to play this flop and then give up to any further aggression. by betting u may get raised off of the best hand, and by checking u allow KK-JJ to make a c-bet.

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
check. The PFR is to your immediate left so you're in good relative position to see what both him and BTN do.

I c/r this flop. If 3-bet, you can probably fold.

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
Leading into a preflop 3bettor is usually death especially when there are 2 people to act. I'm probably c/c here.

[/ QUOTE ] and you call, c/r or c/f to a pot size bet here? i like your reasoning of relative position. the board is drawy what if a 3rd [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or straight card hits the river? Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?
Probably the same thing as on the flop, but I like leading into this flop with 3/4 pot to see how the other players respond. I think we get more information cheaper than the line of check raising.
