Default Life Savings on Red

http://www.pokertube.com/ShowMovie.a...4-0b2f45d02093

Anyone know the backstory on this? Rigged (for marketing)?
I imagine he was on a freeroll, even if he lost I suspect the Casino would return the money and make a big deal about it.

I had heard about this when it happened. Don't know how valid the movie is but the story is true.

I expect he got a fee for making the show which wasn't gambled (even if it was gambled it turned it into a +EV bet). He probably could have profited alot more from selling his story to the newspapers/potential to write a book/go on Z list celebrity reality shows etc.
All in all I think it was a +EV bet way outside his bankroll.
