Default When You Know What Your Opp. Holds

10/20
I have 6k, opp. barely covers.

opp. is very tight, my impression of him is very straightforward/weak/uncreative.

his opinion of me should be loose/tricky but since he is probably not open-minded it may be loose/bad.

opp. limps utg, 2 folds, i misclick raise to 40 with 710[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img](havent played much since my 3 sites banned me from the legislation 2 months ago......so shoot me), sb folds, bb calls, opp. reraises 160 more, i call, bb folds.

flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
he bets 330, i call.

turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
he bets 700, i call.

river: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
he bets 1600, i go all in for 3k more.

I believe hes putting him on AA. I he was putting him on AKo then there would be no need to raise the river.

As for the hand, if hes the type of player you describe I think you can pull off this bluff. It would be very easy for you to have some kind of combo draw on this type of flop and this is a very difficult call on the river for him to make.

Do you ever play spades this way? A lot of straightforward ABC players won't believe you if they think you are tricky and aggressive because (they think) you would likely raise a spade draw earlier in the hand.

Not if I had a pair or a gutterball to go with it, but we are 300bb deep here, my standard would be to just call with regular spades, especially considering im against a lrr here.....very likely to be aa/kk that he isnt laying down to aggression on a drawy flop against a loose/agg.

fold flop.

I'd like this more if you had a bit tighter image rather than a loose/bad one.

I think the river bluff is fine. Its going to be very difficult for him to call this river, but calling the flop when you "know" that he has an overpair and you have a loose/bad image and hoping to "suck out" and get some cards to bluff him off his pretty big hand isnt all that great.

I guess youre pretty deep so you might be able to bluff him out of a big pot, but calling with nothing in the hopes that cards come that you can bluff seems spewy to me. What if he lrr'd QQ or AKs, I know its not very likely, but it is possible
