Hey,
Don't know if its that I got lost in the shuffle, but I made a request to join the club a few days ago and didn't see my name listed.

(P.S. If its that I've been more of a lounge lurker than poster, I'll understand and quitely go sulk away from the "a rtsy" kids lunch table)

My bad; you're in. Missed you the first time.

EDIT: Also, if I missed anyone just let me know and you're in. You just needed to say so in diebitter's original thread. The intention is definently not to be elitest at all-just to get a group of people to discuss a film every couple of weeks.

I also understand the concerns about there being too many rules-I'll try to make it much less cumbersome in the next couple of days and am more than open to suggestions-this is your club people.

I still don't get the reasoning behind picking 5 now, especially since it may be a year before our turn. I can think of a whole bunch of reasons why we should wait until it's our turn to list 5. I do still like the original idea of everyone picking one now that we all vote on to be used for the first to watch. As I said before, it would also be nice to make this a multiple choice poll to get a better feel for the interests here. Anyway, I stated this all before with only one reply, so maybe it's just me.

The Fly (86)
Sleepy Hollow
Oliver!
Life of Brian
The Machinist

I agree the 5 should be picked when it's your time, though i think iron's listening and will happily moify to suit. It is sometimes tricky sitting at your puter, trying to think of the rules and mechanisms for running a club like this from cold, and I suggest we all be a little forgiving and help iron to run it the way we all (or at least the majority concensus) want it run.

Although, it was quite fun to try an pick a range that you think will appeal to a large percentage.

They're non-standard choices, but they're well made, I thought.

Above the Rim
Romeo must Die
L'Avant (The Lover)
Wall Street
The Last Emperor
