Default Re: In which order should Star Wars be watched?

It should undoubtedly be watched 456 then 123 and its not even close. The reason for this is unarguable. If someone who has never seen a star wars movie watches episode one first, they will not watch the rest of the movies because episode one is so bad. I hate that kid so much its not even funny. Anakin's subpar acting in ep. 2 and 3 look awsome compared to that child actor from hell. Between him and JarJar it makes me watch to stab myself in the eye for like 2 hours until he fights darth maul.

For the record last year I made my woman watch 456 then 123 and she could barely even sit through episode one even though she really enjoyed the original three. Episode two is ok and I enjoy episode three quite a bit.

Starwars=sweet. I guarantee you if you watch episode one first you will have such a horrible bias towards starwars you will never give another one a chance.

When episode 1 came out I had never seen 456, so I decided that I would wait so that I could see the whole story chronologically. The only things that could be said in favor of this are that 123 didn't seem as bad without having seen the originals, and the spoiler issue. I basically knew most of the stuff that would be spoiled anyhow, so that wasn't an issue for me. So I would definitely say 456123 would be the best choice here by far.

Meh, I don't think 1 could really do that to people, especially since once you sit through it things only get better. Not that much better for 2, but 3 is definitely decent and then the originals seem soooooo good.

Haha funny page.

456...5...5...and 5 again so you can keep listening to Han Solo unnecessarily tell a guy that he will see him in Hell. Best line ever.

I would recommend watching 456, then 123, then 456 again.

123 are very boring if you haven't seen 456, but 456 is greatly enhanced if you have seen 123.

For someone who's never seen an episode should Star Wars be watched in chronological order or in 4,5,6,1,2,3?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice question.

In the old series there is a build up to the moment when it is revealed that Darth Vader is luke's father.
This would be completely ruined if you were to see 1,2 and 3 first.
