Default Cherokee Casino Regulars

I'll be there the weekend of the 9th to play one of the Scotty Nguyen events, and I'm curious about the cash games that are normally spread there? What games and limits are typically available? Also, what is the competition like for these (e.g., 1/2 NL = soft, but 2/5 NL = nitty, etc.)? Thanks.

I'll be playing in many of these as well Lucere. During tournaments there will be umpteen 1/2 games most with terrible players. Should be three or four 2/5 games that play pretty loose but aggressive. Without a major tourney we only ocassionally get a 5/10 NL holdem game going and when it does it can be tough or not, depends if the P/L Omaha players are in the holdem game or not, when they are it is juicy, after their Omaha game starts it either breaks or becomes uber tight. Should be easy to get 5/10 going during most of November.

Is it limited to HE and PLO games usually? What about stud variants or LO8?

Ohama8 usually only limit, 10/20 with 1/2 o a full Kill. Stud normally is on one able 1 to 5 limit no idea if i will be better during he tourney. Assuming some guy frm Jersey show up I imagine a stud game will happen The floor will spread any game you want as long as they have a dealer available.

Am on my way there right now, see you in a couple of weeks Are you stayig at the casino hotel? If so be sure to get a players card before you check-in and get the players automatic discount. Also you earn 75 cents an hour in comps for poker time on the clock.

I'm staying at the casino inn there. I think they already had to create a players card for me when I registered for the tourney.

Gonna be in the house Saturday night probably (playing in the HORSE). Would love to play mixed. Would prefer E to S and 10/20 is way nosebleed for my bankroll. Anyone interested?

I'm new to this forum. Dallas resident. Went to Cherokee this weekend, so I figured why not make this thread my first post.

We went Friday night to play cash games, and then run the 11am tournament on Saturday.

Here is what they had ... Holdem : 1/2, 2/5, 5/10 NL. 4/8 Limit .... Omaha : 1/2/5 and 5/10/25 PLO. 4/8 and 10/20 H/L.

I played the 5/10 NL Friday night, and the 5/10/25 PLO Saturday afternoon. Both were ok imo, but not as good as I'm sure they will be when it gets closer to the main event.
