Food for thought:

Michigan is #2 in the Big Ten (Capital One Bowl)

LSU loses to Tennessee in the SEC Championship and finishes #2 in the SEC?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would imagine Illinois gets picked over scUM and possibly other teams.

[/ QUOTE ]

But don't bowls have contracts and are obligated to take the #2 team regardless of who it is?

suppose kansas loses a squeaker tonight to missouri in a well played game, but missouri gets blown out by oklahoma next week.

does kansas deserve it over OSU?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. Michigan+Wisco+the rest of the Big11Ten>whoever the [censored] Kansas managed to play this year. Even though Mizzou>Illinois.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mizery got extremely lucky to beat Illinois, who still had a chance to win at the end of the game despite a -3 turnover differential and a true freshman pressed into service when Juice went out early with an injury.

No, they just get the second pick, I think only the Pac-10 does it that way.

That fat guy kicking the 60 yard fg for FSU just made the single ugliest fg I've ever seen. Wow.

God I love NCAA football.

This exciting finish has Div I-AA to thank.

Hopefully the NFL will copy soon too.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was terrible. The game continued for almost an hour after the 4th quarter. That just doesn't seem ok to me. The DL was standing up on each snap, there was little to no push almost on every play. It wasn't football to me, because football includes all 11 players playing at a high level and that just doesn't happen in OT #3+.

[/ QUOTE ]

So how does the flipping of a coin fit more with your ideal of how a game should end?
