Default 10NL FT 6max pp

No worthwhile stats on villain, but in his 2nd hand at the table (after posting oop) he limped after utg then called a shove for 100bb from the sb, a tight player, with 10 K os, so my read is he sucks basically.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players
LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

BTN: $3.35
Hero (SB): $14.10
BB: $8.90
UTG: $26.30

Pre-Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, BTN calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.40, BB raises to $0.70, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.50) 2 8 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $1.40, Hero calls $1.40

Turn: ($4.30) 9 (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $6.80 and is All-In, Hero...?

Marginal call preflop. If this wasn't a minraise, I prolly fold that PF... implied odds aren't that good.

What are you doing on the flop here? Calling here is horrible. Raising sucks because of his short stack. I fold flop, fold turn.

I think the preflop call is ok, you need to make $3.50 postflop to break even, which I think is possible if the guy calls shoves with KTo. But you are playing for setvalue: i.e. c/f this flop. You can never get to showdown cheap because your OOP, you have 2nd pair and not much turn cards will help your hands, while basically any turn card will put
a) another overcard on the board b) complete a flushdraw c) complete a straightdraw.

How is the turn not an easy fold? You have 3rd pair with a gutshot and a 6th-nut-one-card-flushdraw... Three times nothing is still not much.

So you think there are zero unpaired hands in his re raising range BvsB and we need to hit our set?

Does anyone else think we'll be ahead here a decent % of the time? :s And the times when we aren't, as kroelie points out, we have gutshot and set outs...

i've stoved a decent, imo, range if anyone wants to make one for comparison.

3bets preflop at NL10 are AA KK QQ alot of the time. AK is like the only hand you beat that might 3bet. By default, 3bets are not "moves" unless you have seen him 3bet alot. When he plays it this way, fold flop. You are so beat on the turn it's not even funny.

Easy call preflop. C/F flop. That preflop mini-raise is frequently a big PP and rarely AK.
