Default Right fold here with QQ?

I really really didn't want to fold this hand but in the end, I was convinced it was the right move as I'd only had 600 chips invested in the pot. My assumption was that a 4bet is 99.5% going to be AA/KK. Is my assumption right?

This seemed wuite early in the tourny...or was it? But at any rate i might have raised a little bit more preflop perhaps to something like 1000 or 1200. but 'gainst a four bet like that with a call i woulda folded

I don't think the percentage you are assuming is necessarily right. I've seen a lot of 4-bets that aren't AA or KK. There are a lot of crazy people out there.

However, in this situation, I would fold the queens and feel pretty good about it. Of course, I am an uber nit, so what do you expect?

Lose the 600 chips and move on. I think you're crushed.

Sorry guys, I didn't realize the hand converter omitted the tourney details.

I've edited the post to include tourney and level.

But why would you make the initial raise so much more? Wouldn't that be telegraphing the hand. All my pf raises are the same (3x bb) unless it's unopened to me in the SB, then I raise 4x to account for OOP.

I'll wait for a couple of more replies before posting the result.

a 4 bet is never aa/kk 99.5% of the time .. however a fold is fine if the BB's range is pretty tight (JJ+,AKs,AKo)..

your preflop raise is fine, for this level tourney though, you'd probably be better off posting in the high stakes mtt forum
