You played it fine.. very aggressively. Any reads on villain? If villain has been very active and raising alot of pots, I dont mind the 3bet with AQ offsuit. However, if he has been pretty quiet and opened for a raise... I prefer to just call.

I imagine he had something like AK? Shake it off.

I would just call preflop. Without a read, that re-raise could be dangerous. He didn't re-raise you, so eliminate AA, KK, and AK from his range.

I think there is enough of a chance that he has a lower A, lower pocket pair, or flush draw to counterbalance the A9, A3, 99, or 33 that beat you. A shove works here.
