Default How do you handle guys on \"Sit Out\"

Hi,

had this situation in some recent sngs and it somewhat pi**es me off.

blinds already represent 5-10% of each stack (ie. 100/200)
I have a normal stack with 8-12bb and the guy to my left is sitting out (pokerstars, so he openfolds everything) and has a bigger stack than mine. I see people limp and can't do anything about it with 62o in the SB. I can't shove from the SB into the BB cause everyone attacks the freemoney.

What are you doing in this situation if you are carddead in the SB all the time? Do you shove ATC once or twice to make them fear "limpstealing" the freemoney?

Well, you are going to have to get a bigger stack than the guy sitting out.

So, just adjust your calling range for the looser opening raises of your opponents.

They don't necessarily raise, they just limp, giving me 5-1 to call, but I have trash lets say 95% of the time. A raise would at least tell me they have a decent hand, but they just limp to get the freemoney.

It doesn't have to be the bubble, this happens 6- and 5-handed too.

Just punish the limpers as you usually would. The blind sitting out doesn't change that scenario very much.

I don't get why you think they are limping because they see free money. If they were looking to pick up the free money they'd be raising.

People limp because they think any hand can hit a flop and win.

u should just loosen your pushing ranges significantly, but not ATC, because they will all pick up on this concept.
