Default Re: get rid of the blinds?

This whole explanation is pointless since the only rational way for the game to be played is everyone check/folding anything but the nuts on all streets.

The game doesn't work where there is nothing to fight over from the start, think of it from the stand point of the "opener". Why on earth would he put money into the pot without the current nuts? Why would anything less than the nuts call?

Game is no longer worth playing. Even if you factor in "fish" you will still make infinite money by just waiting for AA preflop or the post flop nuts after seeing a flop for free and going all in. No one can beat you. The only thing you have to lose is time.

EDIT: Your last paragraph is wrong. First of all there wont always be fish because the game is stupid and anyone dumb enough to put money into a pot of $0 with less than the nuts will be broke quickly since the only hands that should play with them is the nuts which should be going all in. Also, no "shark" could crush me, they'd be playing the same as me or rather not playing since this game could/would never exist in real life.

There is no chance people would play with you for one, and even if they do youd never get paid off whatsoever. The preflop action in a game like this would almost always go check check check flop. So even if someone opens it which would almost never happen, you shove all in and they fold assuming they dont have the odds to draw to a set with their KK.

What would be the point in opening the pot with anything less than aces? You are risking your bet so that you can win...your bet?

Actually a no blind game would be very profitable from a rakeback perspective once initial equipment investment to 800 table has been paid off.
Good idea OP!

if your going to get rid of the blinds then why dont you get rid of the cards as well.. what you do in this new game is you have to think of two cards write them down.. then the dealer just thinks of the board and you show what you wrote down and then it will be awesome

"You play well" - made me laugh.

We should get rid of the button and position also.

that might be awesome if there was any way to make it work. all players act simultaniously

GUTS FTW!

I guess my sarcasm didn't come through in my post. It would be impossible to get rid of position...someone always has to act first.

True enough in the sense your strategy isnt exploitable but its very easily neutralised

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but the only way to neutralise it is to only play AA yourself. Sure, you could win money with other strategies if your opponents are retarded, but if your opponents are retarded enough to not play the easily identifiable optimal solution, they are probably retarded enough to lose money versus the push AA strategy anyway.

This thread needs less hypothetical strategy discussion and more funny one liners.
