Eli (Kingston): Nice to see Robert Swift had been keeping busy while injured. New sleeve of tats, disgusting pony tail and 20 pounds, good work Robert! I hope he doesn't see this ... that's one scary man.

SportsNation David Thorpe: (12:37 PM ET ) And kind of a stiff, I might add.

Outstanding work by both parties in this exchange.

Speculation is fun but it's obviously way too early to draw any conclusions

That's why it's fun to draw conclusions! =)

If I was prone to knee-jerk reactions though, it would be that the Knicks are probably going to be better than predictions and could come in as high as a 5-6 seed. Bookmakers actually gave them reasonable odds to win the division, so maybe they're onto something.

Atlantic Division is the most improved by far. (Northwest is the easiest division now) So maybe.

[ QUOTE ]
hat being said, Mike Dunleavy and probably Danny Granger are playing way the hell over their heads. I'll revise my win prediction from 25 up to 35 but that's about it.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think both of those guys will regress to their mean pretty soon

tuq,

Booyah, grandma. Even JJ going 3/17 and the Hawks shooting 4/16 from 3 are no match for your teams weak rebounding.

On a serious note though, as much as I hate him, Nash is clearly the MVP. His +/- tonight must've been + double digits and they still lost by 9. Everyone on that team outside of Amare is an overpaid role-player.

Oh, and Bobbo, Chill's 19/10 tonight more your style?

Nash's +/- was -1.

It was second on the team (Marion +2). Barbosa was -12

Really? It didn't watch that way, but whatever.

Where can you find this stuff? I know 82games has averages but I never saw game by game there.

It's in the NBA.com boxscore. But, I mean, it's kind of misleading. The suns got outscored by 9 so Nash is really like "+8."

Wow, very cool.

Also, the Boston half time score. 77-38. RIIIIIDiculous.

carmelo's effort was disgusting. he really mailed it in when he knew the game was out of reach. his defense was non-existent as well.

i used to be really high on him, but it seems like he's content to be a 25 ppg scorer who does nothing else well. not sure you can ever make the second round of the playoffs with melo as your best player.

I'm on vacaction so I've been missing out on the goings on around here. Just got back from the Boston/Denver game. I tried telling people that Denver was way [censored] overrated. They looked AWFUL. Sure, Boston is the best team of all time probably, but god.. I haven't seen such terrible defense in a long time. It was just nasty to watch. Camby had a great game, that's about it. They weren't much better on offense. Shot poorly. Sloppy passing. Even saw one play where K-Mart took a charge from another Denver player. Just bad.

Crowd got a good Scalabrine chant going after he hit his first three pointer (he airballed one from the corner before that). I think it got him too pumped up and he threw up another airball from 24 feet. Can't believe this guy gets minutes.

Out of the big 3, either KG or Pierce was the most impressive. KG made a few bonehead turnovers. He was beastly otherwise. Pierce was scoring effortlessly and had two awesome assists. One behind the back in the lane to Perk, the other the alley oop to KG that I'm sure is all over sportscenter.

Rondo was a little bit of a dissappointment. He mostly played well, but he missed a layup and made an awful turnover. Somehow he managed to travel on a breakaway layup, because he got scared of a defender 3 feet behind him and decided to pass the ball instead and got mixed up. It was weird.

Powe is a beast. That is all.

Also, go ATL. I like what they got going down there.

Also, go LAC. What's going on there? Looks like Kaman is back. And Maggette has always been the man.

He's not their best player. Camby is.
