Re: one of many more AC thought experiments to come
Also, rather than simply bashing capitalism (which is all I ever see socialists of any stripe do, be they state or anarchist), why don't you actually talk about how your anarcho-socialist society would work?

Re: one of many more AC thought experiments to come
If people worked hard, they would get what they need and some things they want.
Instead of $6.75/hour maids working for $500 million/year hotel tycoons, it would be $11/hour maids working for $200 million/year hotel tycoons. |

Re: one of many more AC thought experiments to come
They're right, latefordinner. The idea that anybody could control an important resource like water is absurd. There's no historical or contemporary example of the kind of scarcity you're talking about. Capitalists don't exploit natural resources, or create monopolies.
It's like you're saying the moon is made out of cheese, or something. People would just move away if there wasn't enough water. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Anyone who has seen tank girl has a better idea of what AC would be than any of the true believers on this forum [/ QUOTE ] I'm confused. Weren't you pro-anarchy yesterday? [/ QUOTE ] I thought he was a stalinist or trotskyist(sorry I know it's the wrong term, I forgot the proper one) communist [/ QUOTE ] He was arguing for anarcho-syndicalism is all I know. Maybe that's why he represented it so badly. |
