How do you play Queens against a 3-bet -Range postflop?
What is your plan for the hand?
What do you do, if you bet the flop and villain moves all-in? Do you invest your hole stack if he bets Flop/Turn and River? Should i call the flop and fold to a big Turnbet? Villain is semiloose aggressive, no other reads. My tableimage is tight. No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises to $8, 4 folds, BB raises to $26, Hero calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($53, 2 players) BB checks, Hero ??? Thx |

Re: How do you play Queens against a 3-bet -Range postflop?
These situations are a mess, but having position helps dramatically. I would probably check behind on the flop and see what he does on the turn. If he checks a safe turn, I would make a 3/4ish pot bet and check behind on the river. If he makes a reasonable turn bet I call it and then likely fold to a bet on the river if he fires another barrel. It seems unlikely that he takes that line with anything you beat.
However, I am definitely unsure about how to play overpairs that are not AA or KK on hands that are three-bet preflop. Anyone have any other ideas? |

Re: How do you play Queens against a 3-bet -Range postflop?
Couple things here, first, being the LAG that I am, I'd push him in pf
As played, bet the pot here (what are the stacks btw?) if he c/r, I still push. If he flat calls, and the turn blanks, I push. If the turn hits, I still push (see a trend here?) I can definitely see a fold if the turn hits though, it's a tough hand that can be played (correctly) a lot of different ways |

Re: How do you play Queens against a 3-bet -Range postflop?
I would repot this preflop if he appears to be 3-betting light pf.
As played, villain probably doesn't make this raise with pocket 3's or 4's. All you're really worried about is TT. If he C/R all-in I'm going to assume he has AQ/AK clubs or some suited connector clubs...I can't see him C/R AI with JJ+ so I would definitely bet the flop and probably call a push. If he leads the flop I'm raising - if he reraises...probably have to fold. I wouldn't just flat call the flop cause you will poo your pants at most turn cards (A, K, club..etc) |

Aren't we more worried about AA and KK than a set??? TT is a potential issue but I am thinking he is trying to induce a bet from another overpair.

fwiw if villain has a brain he isnt 3betting a utg raise from a tight player with a wide range. check the flop and play poker.
