Well, some sports bettors feel safer knowing I back up each sponsor with my own money...

There is always some risk, albeit I believe it to be minimal...

We asked the people at Oddsmaker to address your issues. They provided us with the following statement:

"All new Oddsmaker.com

Oddsmaker.com is under new management. Beginning in March 2007, we have been making significant changes to improve the overall quality of service we provide to our customers.

Though we remain a licensee of Future Bet, as independent operators we have implemented cutting edge technology to meet the ever evolving demands of our industry.

Oddsmaker.com continues to use the future bet software platform but with the following upgrades: a totally revised website, new management, and our own processing and customer support team that is completely independent of Future Bet’s operations.

As a result, we have grown in leaps and bounds, but without skipping a beat when it comes to customer support and concerns.

We are demonstrating a strong marketing commitment going forward. Our online presence at TwoPlusTwo.com is reflective of our advertising efforts. We are also marketing at other well known sites such as Covers, TheRx, and EOG.com to name a few.

We are offering more promotions and incentives than ever before. We are dedicated to deliver prompt payouts and alternative deposit methods. Furthermore, we have a marketing budget geared to grow the site to newer standards and higher levels.

We welcome your feedback on how we can make your experience at oddsmaker.com a more pleasant one.

Regards,

Oddsmaker.com"

Mat,

That's great that Oddsmaker says they're honest. Do you feel comfortable sending 2+2ers there?

SBR is no doubt one of the most trusted sites in the industry. These guys tell it like it is. They have nice offices (pictures available on the website) set up in Costa Rica and actually go and inspect sites and are able to meet with different sportsbook managers face to face.

SBR is [censored]. They were butt buddies with Cascade. Nuff said.

They will be looking at the responses in this thread and either replying directly or through me.

Obviously there are concerns here which must be addressed. We are hoping that Oddsmaker does so adequately.

I'm sure a lot of people do the same. It don't take long for the recreational bettor to learn that most sports books are stiffs - ussually takes 2-3 cash outs different places to at least get nervous and start searching forums and things and uncover all kinds of garbage.
Any poker player having dealt with sports only a little bit who is a regular on the 2+2 poker side is likely to click on this forum to ask about which book to join. They come here see those banners, question answered story over.
Just wait though the complaints will likely pile up down the road, and story will not actually be over.

It's been a week now Mat. Looks like their responses take as long as their cash outs.

PropPlayer, thanks for the heads-up.

Mat, I'm sure you have good legal advice at 2+2, which is why I can't understand why you'd keep up these banners for a site that people have so many problems with. As others have asked, would you personally feel comfortable keeping your money there? You can issue disclaimers and say 2+2 is not liable for sponsors links, etc, but if everyone here offers warnings and you still don't do anything about it, someone who loses their shirt at this sportsbook might just try to pin their losses on you, since you now know about all these problems but still let them advertise. I'm not a lawyer yet (nor your lawyer) and this is not legal advice. But it is common sense. Find a new sponsor.
