I think that's very relevant actually. I call his minraise on the flop, then check-raise all-in on the turn... depending on the turn card. If he let you get away with the turn all-in once, he's way more likely to call the second time. Of course, when the turn card comes, you have to guesstimate whether he's going to check through or not. I'd hate to lose a street.

you've established how strong your hand is, he isnt 4 betting with an overpair given how strong you've played it, only hand maybe 89s, but thats still much less likely compared to set 8s or 9s.
