Please fade any over/unders I post in the future. Of course, it would have helped if Namibia could have even scored.

Sides: 11-5, +5.1u
Totals: 0-3, -3.3u

Yep, it was on the Japan game. Canada really underachieved at this World Cup. A draw with a Japanese side nowhere near as good as in 2003. Even we (America) were able to easily handle Japan at the last RWC. Too bad we got the toughest pool top to bottom this year.

When I said I'd take lots of value on Italy, I was thinking I'd be able to find better than Italy +5 at -110. Would rather take the outright at +205. IMO there's lots of value on Tonga +21 at -110 as well.

Tonga +21.5 vs England @-110 2u

The Samoa vs England and Tonga vs SA make me think this is kind of a lock. General opinion is the spreads have been far too wide for most of the world cup having said that i'm only 7-4.

I like Tonga +21.5, too, although it's by no means a lock.
Risking 1.15u to win 1u

Also playing NZ -75.5, risking 2.4u to win 2u.

Did you bet NZ -75.5 knowing carter was out? McCallister is hardly a bad replacement but without carter there i'm staying away. Also if Carter doesn't get back for the quarter against france (he's listed as doubtful for the moment) do you think france have a legitimate chance? And just as a side note do you think the performance of the 'minnows' this year means the talk of reducing the number of teams competing at RWC's can be put to rest?

*It should be noticed i am australian so i look for any reason to put NZ down.

I made the bet before the injury, but I'm still comfortable with the pick. Toeava is going to rip the Romanians to shreds.

As for the possibility of Carter being out for the 1/4, I don't think it hurts NZ that much if Evans starts. If McAllister starts then I'd rate France's chances a bit higher.

Unfortunately the IRB seems hellbent on reducing the tournament to 16 teams, despite the performances of the minnows in this tournament. A lot of these comments have been made by idiotic Syd Millar, who fortunately is stepping down post-RWC, I believe. I really hope they retain the 20 team format, though. If they go to 16, I'm not sure the US will qualify, especially since the top 3 from each group this year get an automatic spot in the 2011 RWC.
