isnt this a misconception?

i believe you have MORE fold equity against morons because they usually dont know/understand pot odds. whereas someone decent to good you will usually have no fold equity against even if they feel they must be behind. (assuming the stack sizes presented here)

on the other hand morons just suck, so the fact that they dont know they have pot odds can also be irrelevant. they will end up making the right call for the wrong reason.

but i have been making pushes similar to this (usually hands more like QT/JT) with 5-6bbs with some success. but i only make such pushes against known donks.

I wouldn't minraise but if I did I would probably snap call with KJ here vs. 99% of villains.

Villain is an acclaimed idiot who already made some terrible showdowns, his 2BB raise is weak.

Horrible move because he's a big stack and he is a moron who is probably going to call you. He's raise might be weak but you have a bad hand also.

if he's a moron, don't you think he'll also call your shove weak? I think I'd need a better hand here, at least like 66/AJ maybe...

[/ QUOTE ]

Since he is a moron I have huge expectations that he will fold to a push.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would think very much the opposite. I think this is extremely -EV.
