I think it would be pretty easy to offer the Wednesday night tournament with a 20k prizepool and cut back the Saturday prizepool to 30k. (And then tweak it as necessary so that the tournaments are equal in value).

The problem with a program such as V$ is that all of a sudden the $$$ that is in this promotion gets shared with 3 times as many people as it is now.

Yeah, I'm considering that too.
It's all kind of weird.
It's like I'm taking advantage of a Stars promotion that is only as good as it is because so many people dislike it.

I'm just more persistent than them so I usually will force myself to play it each week even when I have something else I would rather be doing.

Although there are many weeks when I have tentative plans to get out of there as soon as I can.
If it's a day when I have something waiting for me then I won't play the 100 FPP one which is like spending $1.50 for a $5 or $6 value tourney. I don't mind losing the extra $4 of EV or whatever it is. But I do mind ditching the $65 value.
If I get knocked out of the $65 one I can immediately get out of there and not risk having to sit there in the $5 value on where I might win $15 or something.

There have been a couple times when I played both and then the smaller one was keeping me there when I wanted to leave and I pretty much wished I hadn't signed-up for it in the first place.

If I make the money in the bigger one then I pretty much say, "Yippee...Got my $90. Now I can finally leave."

I'm sitting here surfing the net and typing this while 12-tabling.

Not to mention that I have the t.v. on so I can catch up with the news.

Some players have an uncanny ability to multi-task.

If it were up to me, I would close my 2+2 browser, turn the t.v. off, and play a couple of the Omaha tables that really look like they need a couple of more players.

FWIW sometimes I play a couple of Full Tilt tables too but I'm being lazy today.

What about the idea of extending it to 15 maximum tables for next year for those who request it through support and then re-evaluating the results at the end of the year while maintaining the option to roll-back to 12 across the board if there are adverse effects?

Runonsentence-aments ftw.

We aren't talking about the poker skills of the multitablers, just saying that they should have the option of playing more cash games, so they could generate more rake to Poker Stars.

15 is a nice number.

Scotty was concerned about what the effects would be on the games. I'm pretty sure he was referencing game quality but I could be wrong.

Sigh.

Did you read any of the previous posts?

Stars is concerned about the effects that increasing the max tables would have on the games.

This would give them the opportunity to observe those effects.
