Default ($27) River bet sizing with runner runner boat

Opp seemed like a reasonably solid player, stats were something like 20/15 up to this point. How much do you bet on the river? Opp has 3000 behind.

I'd bet about half the pot, which works out to about half his stack. I expect to chop though.

im not sure here, u could either try to make it look like a bluff with a big bet but risk loosing him or a value bet which is suspicious....meh

In that spot i think you are only getting called if it's a chop or he has 88....

The only way to get any additional chips into the pot from a hand worse than yours is to check and hope he's donkish enough to bluff if he missed a flush draw or somethin. If you bet and he calls it's a chop anyway so check/check is the same result.

most of the time if you bet and want villian to call with worse, he needs to have an 8 or 99-KK. hard to believe 99-KK would check behind on the flop. an 8 does not seem like a card to button min raise with, but he did play the turn consistent with an 8.

it is also hard to believe villian will bluff the river given the action.

i think i bet 1/3 pot and hope he calls with K high or an 8.
