getting near 2 to 1 BUT you is this really +EV?

I'm just watching SNGs on stars to scout out the play. Everyone pushes AND CALLS with the most insane hands.

jared,

at all stakes on stars, the norm appears to be:

3 bet all in stupidly light
"stars regulars" don't call enough on those 3 bets
limp to trap a pusher with all small pairs
pushing stupidly wide ranges
calling stupidly wide ranges

i'm sure there's more but yeah, your scouting is fine. i hvaen't checked to see if curtains' call is bad or good (he's usually right?), but i'm sure you've realized already that curtains and joe aren't the guys who are making the colossal blunders out there.

Didnt know if it was +EV but I want to make some loose calls against regulars quite a bit. Thought it might be kinda close anyway.

Aren't you afraid of loose calls in return?

Why would someone call loose because I call loose? If I push all the time then they should do so. I also thought there was a chance it would be +EV against his range, which I thought COULD be close to 100%.

Anyway I don't push 100% in spots where other regulars seem to so they would be maknig more of an error by making light calls against me, if I am correct on my estimate of their pushing ranges compared to mine.

I dunno, I was sweating some of these games and I remember that a regular made a loose call on Big Joe and he was pretty upset about it, he said that the favor would be returned. Not sure if this applies to you or not though.

you're not retarded are you? if you are making mistakes purposefully to do things to your opponents, the good ones are sometimes going to do the same things too. this is in the nature of sngs where your mistakes are costing you both money. clearly in a cash game unless the villain was a moron they would just sit there and watch you (make you) go broke. in sngs they want to remind you that you're a douchebag who's costing everyone money. this isn't to say that the spite call doesn't have a place, it's to say that expecting them not to be returned is silly.
