Jeez I must be bored today - started a thread about Bluescouse on GamCare, then picked an argument with Stephen Katz. But my post on the 2nd page is good:

I believe it's very therapeutic if not vital for a successful recovery from online poker to understand that there has never in the history of online poker been a single properly audited, documented long term winner. That's right - Not one! That alone tells me that it is impossible to make money playing online poker.

Yep, really picked yourself a tough battle there Jimm!

Yeah, but have you seen how stupid, pig-headed and impervious to reason he is?

I would have thought the quoted paragraph would have made that pretty obvious.

Anti gambling people piss me off so much.

Two years back i was the President of our uni's poker society (briefly, at the start of the yea anyway).

Basically we had a weekly £5 MTT and the occassional 5p/10p mixed dealers choice cash game.

Emphasis was fun yada yada.

But we had a couple people come up saying we should have lots of Gamcare stuff up warning about the perils of poker.

Also, the year before when it first got started we had to do a presentation in our Business class on a random subject, and one group decided to present on the Society - about how it was wrong to promote gambling to students and so on. I joined the society about a week after that presentation
