Re: 6.50 Counterfeited 2 pair on turn
Hm, probably not a bad idea as AK, AA, KK, QQ, and JT are the only hands that are beating me on the flop.
But how much? Big raise? Minraise? Any significant amount starts getting me towards having my whole stack committed. |

Re: 6.50 Counterfeited 2 pair on turn
im gonna go out on a limb and say that their is a good chance the only hand that you are realistically behind on the flop is JT, because he would very very very likely raise PF with AA, KK, QQ and AK especially after a limper

Re: 6.50 Counterfeited 2 pair on turn
Raise to 90 pf. As played flop bet is fine, the reraise could come from Ax, KQ, or JT, and since we're ahead of all but JT, I think shoving or a strong reraise is good here. Weaker hands drawing nearly dead may call (Ax, KQ) and we either chase the straight draws or make them pay dearly to chase. Of course JT has us crushed, but I think we're still way ahead of his range.
Again as played I'd fold the turn. T, J, and K are the cards we don't want to see, and we just got it. All the more reason to raise/shove while we're ahead on the flop. |

I probably should have raised on the flop. I would really like to know if you agree with my fold on the turn. |

Also, you have to either raise or fold pf IMO, I'm not wild about playing AQ multiway and possibly out of position. |

I should probably do that more often. It's just easy to limp along b/c getting called, missing the flop, then having a c-bet called is both expensive and annoying. From what I've seen so far players at the 6.50s love to call. |

Re: 6.50 Counterfeited 2 pair on turn
I play the 6.50s, and raising pf gives you more opportunities for profitable c-betting. First, you thin the field, and I really only recommend c-betting heads up. Second, you show strength pf, giving your c-bet more teeth. At levels 1 and 2 a pf raise followed by a c-bet on a harmless flop is profitable play. When you limp and end up 3 or 4 handed to the flop a c-bet almost never works.
EDIT: Basically what I do is raise AQ+ and TT+ from MP and LP, and on the flop if I'm heads up I play as if I have QQ. By that I mean I'll bet any flop with no A or K or obvious draws. Also play your big pairs the same way, just in case anybody's paying attention, although they probably aren't |
