Yeah, not to mention that he could have a hand that you are way ahead such as a gutter + nfd, JKA without diamonds, two pair and straight draw, even bare top two. Getting it in here is very standard

Nice hand. A lot of people make the mistake of playing passively in this kind of spot since they "know they're against a straight".

However, even if that's the case, a straight can't improve here and our improvement is fairly obvious so we still lose a ton of equity by just calling. This is a much different situation than having a draw against a set where the set can hit "kill cards" that make your hand worthless.

At first I thought, wtf wow he's overplaying bottom set. Then I noticed the KJ as well, and then it's really okay, even if he has J9. Suck if he has clubs, but you still have good equity. Good hand

Postflop is good, nice ev play with some variance as bonus. Preflop is fold, esp utg.
