Default Rank these running backs

No real point to this post other than I found it very tough to rank these guys and am interested in other's opinions.

Pretend that this will be the first player you add to your new franchise. You get the player at the age in which he entered the league in real life. You can build around the player's strengths with the rest of your offense. If a player got injured in real life that does not mean that he will get injured in our scenario. However, the players are just as "injury prone" as they are/were in real life.

In zaleonical order:

Brian Westbrook
Tiki Barber
Terrell Davis
Priest Holmes
Edge James
Shaun Alexander
Cliton Portis

bitch moan count 123

1 Terrell Davis
2 Priest Holmes
3 Shaun Alexander
4 Brian Westbrook
5 Clinton Portis
6 Tiki Barber
7 Edge James

No stats to back it up. Just in order of who I would want on my team.

Davis
Westbrook
Barber*
James
Holmes
Portis**
Alexander

*Barber is basically identical to Westbrook, and I would put them as 2a and 2b in whatever order.

**Originally had Portis above Holmes but edited it to change.

Barber was less injury prone. Don't think they can be 2a and 2b.

also where are your NFC rankings - I think you didn't get a chance to do them last week?

SU. Alexander is the best because he possessed the best combination of speed and power. I realize that what he lacks as a receiver takes away from him, but he is an unstoppable runner in his prime.
James is next, followed by Barber. Both are great runners and good receivers, but James didn't take as long to emerge as a star (he was one as a rookie), so he's ahead of Tiki.
Westbrook is next, and is this low only because of his injury habits.
TD and Priest are both products of a great system, but Davis is a better back, so he's ahead of Holmes. My concern over TD is that Derrick Lovelle and even Olandis Gary (after TD hurt his knee) did just fine in place of him when needed. By the way, I feel that Holmes is the toughest one to rank because despite his years in KC, he was very average in Baltimore, so it is hard to figure out if he was more of a product of the system or if he is a great back (he was behind an awesome O-line and whenever he got hurt, a replacement did very well too).
That leave Portis. While he is a fine back, he is a product of the Denver system that saw TD do better than he did there (hence TD being higher), and we saw Betts outperform him in Washington just last season when he was hurt.
Well, it was a lot of fun to rank these players, even if my rankings aren't very good...

Westbrook/Davis
Edge/Priest
Portis
Barber/SA

i put westbrook as #1 only because he can catch and run and is a factor anytime he is on the field

i put barber last because of his fumble issues most of his career
