Assuming no antes, fold. w/ 10xBB and the wide ranges you're likely to be up against at the $3 games, shoving K9o from the CO is no good. I'd probably shove ATs+, 66+ here. With antes, it's still not a shove. I'd only open up to like 55+, A7+, KQs+ then. [/ QUOTE ] Wow I'm a lagtard if this is your pushing range. |

Re: 3--K9o Open All-In.
To be honest I didn't actually run it thru SNGPT.
Now running it thru SNGPT yeah you're right, K9o IS +.5 WITH antes and everybody calling 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ However, I dunno but at a $3 game I kinda assumed they could well be calling slightly looser than that, maybe not. That's for the OP to tell us I s'pose. Obviously, the tighter they are the more you can shove. I just don't trust these guys to call properly. |

Re: 3--K9o Open All-In.
So setting the calling range for any 2 is really bad?
I was thinking that if sngpt gives it a push under these conditions, its good to go. |

[/ QUOTE ] there is a parabola like effect with pushing. when they call to tight it can be +EV because we win w/o showdown often. when they call any 2 i can be +EV because we are ahead and win the showdowns alot. just because the two endpoints are +EV, doesn't mean the whole curve lies above the zero expectation line. if you can understand that, well done, and sorry i couldn't think of a better way to express it |
