Default Half Stack open-shoves Turn

Must be the hot new move to try out on chubby old guys.

NL$100
BB has $50 (Hero covers)
Hero raises to $4 from MP with XX
BB calls (pot $8)
Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB checks
Hero bets $7
BB calls (pot $22)
Turn comes 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
BB instashoves for $39

What is Villain's likely range?
What is your calling range?
Are you folding any King here?
Would you consider calling with QQ/JJ?

I've gotten the Turn open-shoved on me several times recently, and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

I see this a lot too and every time I have called this month it has been a draw.

Hand in question I wussed out and folded J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Another similar hand I called with AT on an AQxx board and Villain had bottom pair + FD (which he proceeded to hit, of course). At the time, I snapcalled without much thought. Later, I wondered if I was really ahead of his range (even though I happened to be ahead this one time).

Im calling with Tx+ probably, Axh, straightflushdraws etc

I def would have called with JJ though.

edit: thats probably a lie, icall with more than that, not sure exactly how wide, usually depends on push timing. Im not sure i fold 99 here, and have been known to call with Ahi/any pair

Basically when I see this line I'm thinking "He wants a fold" so I call pretty liberally.
