Re: 3--AKs FD & Gutshot getting 2:1 to call All-In on Flop.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] cant say the PF raise isnt a bit too bloating though... [/ QUOTE ] I was using 4bb + 1bb/limper. I guess thats a rule of thumb for a cash game. What do you think is a better raise amount here? [/ QUOTE ] Personally, I'd go about t225 here. And I'd call the flop as well. |

Re: 3--AKs FD & Gutshot getting 2:1 to call All-In on Flop.
Raise less PF. Call flop.
[ QUOTE ] Tom: I'm curious to see what others say about this hand but I'm going to have to say fold here. You have a very nice draw. In a cash game I'm sticking it all in quickly because I know I can reload. But here you can't recover from zero. Draws in sng's generally = death. If you could play SNG's and chase almost no draws you would do very well and not miss much EV at all. Just my $.02 good luck. Straight Flushes, SAM [/ QUOTE ] I don't want to be mean, but this is very bad advice. |

Also making it slightly less than that (2.5x-2.75x) when the stack sizes are at the awkward 15-25BB stage isn't a bad idea. |

Re: 3--AKs FD & Gutshot getting 2:1 to call All-In on Flop.
First of all, he initially limped, and then called the huge raise. This usually says pockets to me. With 10s or Js he'd be nuts to limp, which doesn't say it's impossible, but it's less likely. Also if he was slow-playing something bigger here he'd have 3-bet it. So maybe he has 7s. If he has trips or two pair, you still have 12 outs over two cards with 2:1 odds. If he's got a pair then you have 6 more outs. Gotta call here.
Plus there's the slight chance BB will join in and sweeten the pot |

[/ QUOTE ] a) in SNGs typically its 3bb+1bb/limper b) stack size in sngs is your ticket to victory. manage your stack well, 300 is too big. 250 tops. 225....it matters |
