WTF is this forum's obsession with PTBB/100? $$/hour should be the holy grail of all statistics over a large sample size if its all about being a collector not a donator in the poker economy. Game selection, how many tables, what stakes, playing well, etc, are all motivated at maximizing it.

As for the opening poster, I suggest using the pokerev software and really work through the different filter options to see if there are certain situations were you are being exploited. Stay ambitious, but dont get too hard on yourself, a 2.2PTBB/100 winrate at 1/2NL is nothing to frown upon.

fwiw, from the one month in my life that i have pokertracker stats for, which is from early last year, when i wasn't good at poker, here are my $200nl numbers:

Hands: 68,658 hands
$$ Won: $14,583.09
ptbb/100: 5.31

obviously this was on party so it was easier, but i was a nit and just played solid, this is before i learned how to really play.

for the people saying 5 is crazy hard, it's really not at all. post hands, read threads, ask questions, and ask more advice that will matter when it comes to helping you win more money, rather than debating whether people can get certain winrates.

this is not true for all of us, as some do not have the luxury of never withdrawing from our roll.

FWIW, my stats are nearly identical to yours (when filtered for exactly 6 players) at full 6 man tables, though I play 2/4. Main difference is my W$atSD is lower (45.5), which others have already commented on. I don't have too big of a sample at full 6max (as most of my hands are at 2-4 handed), but over 8,550 hands, I'm in roughly the same boat as you with 2.47bb/100. I feel like I am at a plateau in my game (not really getting any better), so I am eager to hear the responses to this thread, but I think the best advice has already been given by Pokey: You're playing well and your stats are near optimal, so if you want to achieve the next level, you need to work on reading hands (I assume you're already using good game selection, but if you aren't, then that is important too).

(no idea why i used parantheses so much lol)

Also, I would suggest playing more 3-4 handed, which will not only further develop your hand reading and maneuvering marginal spots, but also is more profitable IMO. On a whole, I am running at 3bb/100 over 28k hands this month, with 5.5bb/100 equity adjusted from PokerEV.

[EDIT]:

Yeah, 3betting from the blinds isnt BAD since you need to do it sometimes to defend and whatever, but everything plays out so much easier if you're in position.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think 3betting oop is better than 3betting ip in general because the smaller the pot the more advantage position gives you.

[/ QUOTE ]

it seems like you are just throwing stuff out there for the sake of throwing it out there.

[/ QUOTE ]

I completely agree with SpeedLimit here, and would love to hear snowbank's argument for otherwise, other than of course his two stellar arguments "you're throwing random stuff out there" and "simple tip, don't listen to what everyone else says" LOL.

just my opinion from looking over datamined hand histories of guys stuck in similar places:

usually, this type of player doesn't get what being truly aggressive is about. They play ABC, but don't get out there and take risks. You should get caught bluffing. You should force regs to think you could have air or the nuts. You're playing your own cards too much and don't play the situation enough.

This might not fit here, but it's something I often notice.

While i do think more creativly than most, i think you are right i tend to just pucker up and play ABC as default a large portion of the time.
