Default $5K bellagio, AK facing a shorty and a re-raise

I had been pretty aggressive. A lot of preflop raising, but I have had the goods.

UTG+1 is an older guy, he has limped in a lot of pots. Not that much raisng though. BB seems to be a good player, he lost most of his chips in a pot that was 3 bet preflop, where the other player made two pair.

blinds are 100/200

Hero has 13,000
UTG+1 has 8,100
BB has 3,000

Preflop Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG+1 raises to 600, Hero calls, BB raises all-in for 3,100, UTG re-raises to 8,100, Hero?

Starting stacks were 10,000

First off, I like the PF call. You probably assumed the blinds would fold here, or at worst you'd get one caller. I like this, and it's great b/c it hides your hand well, and lets you fold a flop you don't like.

But the other guys are coming to life now. To me, this is an easy push. They don't put you on a hand, and they could have any number of things. Chances are that you're racing with at least one of them, but that's ok given the overlay in the pot. You need to accumulate, and even if you lose here, you're still gonna have 25 BBs, which isn't too bad.

The BB is obviously pushing or folding his hand, and as far as he's concerned he's thinking he's probably going to isolate against UTG. UTG is clearly trying to isolate against the other guy. You have AK, they don't put you on it, push yourself.

Easy push, put yourself in position to get to the FT.

I think this is a call.

I think you often see two pairs here, like 1010 or something from old guy and QQ from UTG.

Also, you hand is pretty underrepped after flat calling, so UTG probably expects you to fold 90% of the time which means he is isolating wider.

I agree with calls. They don't expect you to have AK. You're not in a dire situation if you lose.

I do not like flat calling with AK in the sb, I prefer a reraise.

I also do not like calling the 3rd raise which is allin, with ak as well.

I do not like green eggs and ham...I do not like them sam I am.

I like a fold simply because chances that you face a pair and AQ will kill your outs and UTG must have a big pair, he cant take the risk of pushing with you acting after wothout a strong holding.

Am I too weak tight with AK here?

I call. UTG probably plays AJ+ and 99+ like this so I don't see why we feel we are crushed by his range.

I think this is way, way off. Online maybe, but this is live and villain is some old guy. This is a trivial push online, but live plays so different. I've only played a little live myself, but have heard plenty of others' experiences. I doubt utg+1 is pushing any looser than TT+,AK, probably tighter. But it's def not an easy call that's for sure.
