I love the SS on the 50NL, but I would like to know the main idea behind the good ones I havenīt found yet. Does anyone have a link that explains the idea of winning SS?

personally I'm finding when it's a tightish time of day, I make most of my money from bad SSers. I think they get frustrated with lack of action, and will poosh with Ace-rag if an ace flops.

Stacked one yesterday with 72o in the BB. He limped AA utg trying for the limp-reraise but no one raised. Flop came 729, I bet, and he shoved.

the main idea is play your big cards very hard. Don't be calling with mediocre or okay hands, be raising and reraising with big hands. You'll note bad SSers break these rules over and over.

Hehe, I only found those bad SS yet.
Wouldnīt it be +EV if you are fullstacked and play your monsterhands hard? The only thing I see is that they have lower swings and others donīt have the implied odds all the time. But I love to push them around:-)

not too hard. Too hard makes weaker hands fold, which is good play on their part. You want to induce mistakes, not good play.

Ty, but i buy in for closer to half stack, not sure if this qualifies me.

Truth be told, i was only experimenting with it, but i've had my biggest two months ever doing it this way. I don't leave if i double/triple my stack or more though, as usually the tables i can do this on are too juicy to leave

What I see that makes shortstacking profitable for even an average player is that most of the full stackers don't take the odds into consideration against them. Playing small pockets for set value, playing suited connectors..... lose against the average shortie. Yet I see full stackers playing these all the time.

The best shortstacker I know is Raoh on Party.

He 12 tables between NL100 and NL1000, plays 11/10/4+ with 20BB. I have him winning at 3.0 bb/100 over 50k+ hands.
