Open shove the first time around. As played call. [/ QUOTE ] I think our hand is a little too strong to just open shove from UTG+1. I like raising enough so that if we get one caller, you can shove the flop with it looking completely natural, read: go and go. By shoving, we might not get as much action as Hero got. This is a tournament, we need chips if we want to make the FT. Flipping for a 30-40BB stack with AK against two Villains sounds lovely. Oh yeah, antes? |

Re: A-K - late in tourney
Thanks for the feedback - The part that threw me was that the big stack just called - It just seemed like an incredibly strong play - If he had anything besides Aces or Ks - why would he encourage a shove ? It seemed suicidal at this stage.

Re: A-K - late in tourney
If he actually had AA and smoothcalled, then ok,gg,nothing you can do. Don't look for monsters everytime this happens. Yes,I've had people do this to me with AA,but I've also seen players do this many many times with AJ,77 etc. There's just no end to the weird stuff you'll see people do.
This is an instashove and it's not close. |
