Default Just accepted a new job and but have a question/potential issue

Ok, just accepted a real good job from a mid sized company that I am pretty pumped about - High salary (for me), commission opportunities, expense account, etc... I was informed in the interview I will receive an American Express Corporate card for travel. Unfortunately, a couple years ago I hit some bad financial problems and my credit tanked badly. I got delinquent on my personal American Express card and eventually it got cancelled. Eventually I got back on my financial feet and paid what I owed to AE so my balance is 0 with them now

Recently I applied for a AE personal card again and was denied due to my history with them. This would have been a personal card.

Question: Will my personal history with AE prevent me from receiving a corporate card. That would be pretty embarrassing and make life difficult since the job is heavy travel. A few years ago I had a corporate card but my credit was good back then so I probably did not pay attention to the details of the card.

I've got a knot in my stomach thinking about this.
