I don't get the second thing at all, at least not for me, unless you assume a whole lot of things that are not a given. Such as getting dragged into her having a messy divorce and you're supposed to be her emotional support and all that, or you get older and go off to college and she's still trying to be your girlfriend.

But if its just, say, having sex with her 15 or twenty times and having to figure out that there's some heavy emotional [censored] that goes along with sex a few years earlier than I otherwise did... *shrug* I'm just not buying the screwed up for healthy relationships line.

In other words I'd of hit it hard and had no regrets.
