Default Ultimate Bet MTT Questions...

I just started at UB and noticed an interesting feature in their MTTs. You can join an Alternates List and enter a tournament after it has started when somebody busts out.

So say the tourney is $20+$2 and the tourney starts with 80 players and 10 places pay out. There are usually alternates joining in for up to the first half hour. So the number of players playing stays at 80 but the prize pool obviously climbs a bit with each new entrant.

What affect do you think this has an orignal entrant (e.g. total chips in play increases, prize pool increases, etc.). And also what advantages and disadvantages are there for the late entries (e.g. missed the lower blind levels, Q is below average, etc.).

You can also expand on these questions by including a tourney like a turbo satellite.
