What is the probability of flopping a flush vs. flush?

Specifically A high vs. K high?

Given that you have king suited , the probability one of n players has ace suited preflop is 10*n/50c2.

If both players have king suited and ace suited , then the probability they both flop flushes is 9c3/48c3.

The probability is 10*n/50c2*9c3/48c3 ~0.0000396n where n is the number of players . Also note that this assumes that any king suited or ace suited hand will see the flop .

So which is more likely: set over set, or flush over flush?

Depends on what flush you have and what pocket pair you have .

Two scenarios .

Situation 1 :You have king high suited against 9 other opponents
Situation 2 : You have pocket kings against 9 other opponents .

Answer to 1 is 0.000356 (using the formula)
Answer to 2 is ~ 6*9/50c2*2*2*44/48c3 = 0.000448 .

As you can see it's fairly close .
