Fine as played as you missed the flop, although in order to go deep in these events, you need to be SAG and gambol a bit.

Shoveling AK PF is the optimal play, IMO. You are out of position, there is alot of dead money to be won that gives your hand even more value, as well as folding equity in shipping your chips in the middle.

1.) this is not a gamble - cause you have FE also against a medium or even small PP with a 3-bet, and as you have seen people play any trash-hands early on. but also against good players this is AQ,AJ often enough to be clearly +EV.

2.) you have to gamble in any tournament from time to time to win - i love a situation where i can gamble early on, cause i have most to win. playing double the stack, that everybody else has is great - and i have not much to loose, cause i have only invested a minimum of time.

Here's another vote for pushing pre-flop. You get calls from so many inferior hands... As played, you really have to fold to the flop action.
