I 3bet a monster draw on the flop, but is it +EV???

I really do not think he is doing this with a pair of aces. I used to like this play in this spot because I\'m ahead of AK\'s range, but I am really starting to think that he has a set here way more often than he is simply c/r bluffing which is really what he has to be doing in order for this to be sexy. Re: I 3bet a monster draw on the flop, but is it +EV???
Depends on reads/villain. Vs. some people this is the best way to play it, vs. others this is very bad (cuz they always have a set). Vs. an unknown I would guess this is slightly +EV over all.
The A is actually a good card because it makes sets less likely and adds the Ax hands that an unknown can do this with. |

why cant an unknown have an A here? [/ QUOTE ] Because in my books an unknown doesnt c/r with an ace. He flat called preflop so AK/AQ is out of his range(at least its a v small portion of his range). And unknowns in my experience dont get tricky with aces like this |

I would therefore not at all assume that an unknown can't have an Ace here. |
