Default 25/50. heavy flop action before I have even acted

Jimboclown1 is a superspewy fish and I don't think he has AT beat here ever. Plays really really bad, no idea how he got his stack... I really can't see ratford limping behind with TT and probably not 88 either. I really don't know his game much but he seems fairly aggro, but not a maniac. What is the minimum you stack off with here?

iwonlotto sitting in seat 1 with $20563.00
- jimboclown1 sitting in seat 2 with $16067.01
- Ratford sitting in seat 3 with $5559.50
- Owre sitting in seat 4 with $4700.00
- Terken89 sitting in seat 5 with $6984.75 [Dealer]
- Pokerro sitting in seat 6 with $5402.50

Pokerro posted the small blind - $25.00
iwonlotto posted the big blind - $50.00
** Dealing card to Terken89: XX
jimboclown1 called - $50.00
Ratford called - $50.00
Owre folded
Terken89 raised - $250.00
Pokerro folded
iwonlotto folded
jimboclown1 called - $250.00
Ratford called - $250.00

** Dealing the flop: 5 of Hearts, 10 of Spades, 8 of Hearts
jimboclown1 bet - $825.00
Ratford raised - $2599.00

JJ seems fine if you really think that Jimbo can't beat it. Ratford would likely know this and there are like 11 million combo draws that he can be pushing, so you'll be flipping a coin, but with the dead money out there it seems like it'd be +EV.

i was wondering the same thing, but figured he meant that you no longer chop with another AT.

but i agree, if u call w JJ, u have to with AT.

i didnt run pokerstove, but i would stack off with the first hand that shows positive equity when putting in your stack against ratford's range being 55, T8, A or K high flush draw, combo draws, and my guess would be that its KK+ because of an increased equity in blocking his overcard outs. Actually, JJ blocks some combo draw outs as well, so maybe that is good too.

Seems unlikely ratford has Tx unless its Txhh. I have to run for now but ill run this calculation when i get back if nobody has done it by then.

edit: did some calculations real quick and it looks like AT and JJ are both good enough to call with (AT is barely good enough and JJ is a bit better because of blocking combo draws and not chopping with AT). however, i didnt take into account the other dude overcalling all in, no clue how this will change things

Not positive on this because JJ blocks some combo draw outs as well, but i think blocking overcards is a little more important.

did you miss the part about the first player being a huge fish? i see no reason ratford can't be as weak at jt or even stuff like qj/j9.

oh, damn, i just read the "he never has AT beat here" and assumed ratford was ok but just read "fairly aggro" so i guess youre right.

may even be able to stack off worse than AT in that case.

also, how do you think jimboclown overcalling all in would affect things? what kind of range would you give him there?

Its awesome that Jimbo lead for you. Bad players do this with top pair almost exclusively. Thus i would take a few top pair hands out of radford's range. I would rather stack off with like AKs here than JJ, just because you are much more likely to dominate his draws and have guaranteed equity against the top of his range. I think when Jimbo leads with top pair and only one guy raises, he will stack off a good percent of the time. Hm..i think radfords range is so polarized to big draws or a set of 5's or 8's. 10's almost always raise, but ive seen even aggro players limp 88 from time to time. He could also have something like 10x hearts. I think shoving with any over pair or A10 is going to show slight EV in the long run, but at the table i may pass the first time or two to get a better read on radford's isolating range after limping with position on a fish. I'd def shove Ax suited here esp if x is greater than 10 for the extra outs against his pair and draw combo.
