Internet outage. Complaints. FTP closes account.

As you all know with what happened last week with the internet outages I to was affected while almost placing 2 final tables at the time this occured. By the time i was able to log back in( nearly 45 minutes), where I was in top 10 in both tournaments at the time with roughly 30-40 players left in both, I came back with very minimal chips(2-3 BBs). I soon went out in both and was disgusted. I wrote FT a email stating that I wanted to be compensated more $$ as they should have paused the games until this matter was fixed as most sites do in these types of situations. Has happened on Stars and Party to me 3 times and the games were always paused/voided and payouts based on chip count.

Here is the email I received 4 days later:

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.
You paid $69+$6 to play in T#29380156; subsequently you came out with
$121, an overall profit of $47. This sum is the portion of the prize
pool owed to 25th place.

To reiterate, you did not lose money in this game. We cannot return to

you money which you did not lose, nor can we adjust your final
placement
for this game.

This decision is final and will not be negotiated.

We appreciate your past business and wish you success in your future
endeavours.

They actually closed my account after I sent 3 emails about this as I did not receive an email response for 4 days! I had $435 in my account as well as 35,000 FTP points and its still closed! Ive emailed them and no response! WTF????

I dont know whats goin on here but with accounts being closed and $$ being confiscated for no reason a lot lately at this site and now my situation, I seriously think they have rip off con artist workin for the site!!

Can someone please help me here!

After the 3rd email I sent them they closed my account with no warning, response besides the 1 1st listed above! Ive read several other topics where players had their accounts closed on FT on these forums and same situaiton. No communication whatsoever! Now my account is closed for me asking WTF is takin them so long???? After this display I'll gladly take my $$ and play elsewhere as this is the worst service ever!

Of course there is more to it than the OP is saying. No site wants to close accounts and lose trade.

There is a lot of FTP bashing lately. Now, I agree that that their customer service could be improved in respect of replying to complaints quicker and anaswering emails in a more timely manner. But they are not dishonest and it is one of the better sites out there. IMHO Stars are 1st, FTP are 2nd. Take your pick on the rest.
