I propose a give and take.

I am willing to support the banning of Midge if politics posters will stop referring to Ron Paul as Dr. Paul.

I have made it known that my brain explodes each and every time I read it.

What aggravates you about it? You know he is a doctor, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

I do. Here are my reasons.

1. Bill Frist is a heart surgeon. Nobody refers to him as Dr. Frist (unless using him as a tool in the Schiavo debate). There are tons of people with phDs and other medical doctors that are politicians. We don't refer to any of them as Dr.

2. "Dr." is a title like "Mr." or "Mrs." We never refer to any of the other candidates as Mr. Romney or Mrs. Clinton. I get that Dr. adds a piece of info to the puzzle that those titles do not (except gender). If anything, he traded in his Dr. title for "Congressman."

3. It is just a subtle way for Ron Paul supporters to elevate him above the other candidates, and it just creates this false imposition of reverence that I find annoying. It's bad enough having to wade through the threads about how he has a real shot and how if he got elected he'd be assassinated because he would revolutionize the world, etc.

I wouldn't consider myself a Ron Paul supporter, but I would say that there is a strong likelihood that I would vote for him over many of the other candidates in the race. I really like a lot of his ideas. That said, I still find people referring to him as "Dr. Paul" to be retarded.

There appears to be some sand in your vagina. Perhaps you should set up a consultation with Dr. Paul?

You're probably right.

From this point forward, I will stop complaining about Dr. Paul and just support John Edwards Attorney-at-law, Former First Lady and current Senator Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, Esquire.

I think you missed a The Right Honorable in there somewhere.

Edit to add: Although, bravo on "Barack Obama, Esquire."

I think he should use that on the ballot.

That's The Honorable Senator Barack Obama, Esq. to you pal. Racist imo.

Edit: I've never heard "The Right Honorable" used before.

He can appeal to upper and lower class at the same time with something like this. Guaranteed victory imo

Second. Also, I'm not sure what happened, but Nielsio used to just post conspiracy theories, then refuse to answer questions, showed no humour, and usually only responded to notify you that you are now on ignore. Reading some recent posts, he actually engages in discussion these days with even some sarcasm here and there!

Dr. Nielsio, MBA for containment thread particpant!

Nielso, sorry to hear you're banned. I enjoy your posts, and don't really enjoy Midge's. But really, why should anyone be banned?
