Default Live €1/€2 PLH Hand

Live €1/€2 PLH 9 handed, stack sizes are approximate.

I usually play NL $25 online, pretty inexperienced live.

I'm UTG (stack €210) with AKo
I open raise to €7, calls from MP1(tag €250), MP2 ( loose/awful €160), CO (seems decent lag €350), button ( seems tag €300).

flop: 9 A 9 r, pot $38

What do you think is optimal line here? check call? I'm probably up against a pretty wide range of hands, including 89o+, random suited and unsuited gappers and any practically any pocket pair.

Disclaimer: I'm a online micros guys also.

Looks like a great flop for you. I think going passive for fear of a 9 here is MUBS. And I think I lead out here. Exception would be if I'm playing against tricky and tough players. Getting raised on this flop puts you in a uncomfortable spot, and a tricky player can do it with ATC.

If called I would definitely consider check-calling the turn.

Oh, and river another ace.

Lead for 30. Be prepared to fold if CO or button raise. Tough decision if MP1 raises, since he may think AQ/AJ is worth a raise.

If your 30 gets called, then try to get to the river cheaply with a check/call or c/f on the turn if the bet is large. Then block the river or c/c or c/f depending on who is in the hand with you, what the board looks like, and how big villain bets or raises relative to the pot.

Seems to me that this is a WA/WB spot and checking isn't that bad an idea.

Betting will probably fold out most worst hands and if called, we're facing a much larger pot OOP. I'm inclined to check and take the action from there. If it gets checked through, we really aren't concerned with anything but 2-3 outters and we can lead the turn.

If someone bets the flop, I call and probably check the turn again.

I like a check because your hand can't really take a raise and it will likely get hands like PP and worse As to bet for you. So c/c the flop and check again on the turn.

Its hard to say what to do after that, but I may c/c all the way down depending on my reads of the players and bet sizes.

Sometimes being a calling station is right.

I like the c/c c/c line suggested by berge and mr donk. Playing live I think you should be raising more preflop, however. In a live, low stakes game you need to raise more than 3.5BB UTG to limit the field. This would be a much easier hand to play against only one or two villains.

In hindsight I like that line too, I bet €40, and folded to a €160 raise from the CO, who had been showing down with the goods, but seeing a lot of flops.

Unfortunately €7 was the max raise allowed, it's Pot limit.
