I'm [censored] ready for Mike Hopkins. Jim Boeheim has lost it and I've been saying this to anyone who will listen all my four years here.
YOU DONT PLAY ZONE WHEN ALL THE TEAM WANTS TO DO IS SHOOT THREES AND YOUR KIDS DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY ZONE DAMNIT.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm forced to agree with you there (not about getting rid of Jimmy B, about the zone). We were bigger, faster, and more athletic than them. You zone teams that are terrible shooters or equal to or greater athletically than you. Sigh. Do you honestly think Hopkins will be able to recruit like Jimmy? If you do, you're nuts.

[/ QUOTE ] To my knowledge, since 95, Hopkins has been credited with recruiting G-Mac and Billy Edelin. I don't think I have to list all of the other SU stars that have come to SU over the years but Jimmy B is one of the main reasons recruits come to SU. He's got a track record of getting guys ready to go to the NBA and recruits do care about that stuff.

Hopkins is the one on the recruiting trail getting the kids to come here. Yes Boeheim is the guy that they come to play for, but Hopkins and to a much lesser extent Bernie Fie are the guys recruiting. I'm pretty sure most of the current roster...Devendorf, Harris, Greene, Flynn are all Hopkins recruits.
