Default $6 Party JJ did i really play this bad?

Villian ends up with straight A - 5 how should i have played this? or is there no way around it?

raise to 240 pre. Raise waaaaay more on the flop, I am making it like 500 or 600. Just so much wrong with the hand that it's hard to analyze.

Don't post results. The best play isn't based on what opponent made.

240/250 preflop, 500 on the flop.

As palyed, I like turn &amp; river.

Welcome.

I agree with previous comments - 240-300ish preflop: you have a good hand, and want to get value. In higher stakes, limping is also fine but I presume most $6 Party players are pretty bad, so will call with worst hands, making a raise better imo.

As played, 500ish on flop is about right - your hand is vunerable so you want to charge draws. It would also make the turn easier, as then you can just push. As played, calling on turn and river is good.

You definately need to raise more on the flop to weed out the diamond draws. Thats a really bad river for you if he has a flush too because you're gonna wanna pay it off.

cheers i took into account the betting more on the flop when i played last night, i might post some more hands in future see how i can improve further.
