Default playing a flopped nuts straight, 2 to a flush, no flush draw for me.

Say you make your nuts straight on the flop and POT it.
2 callers.

Still no other made hands by the TURN, but now
boat ( hidden trips ) and a flush draw is available...
Do you POT again and hope for no scare cards ?

If there's also a nut low draw out there, but none for you,
say the board is:

10h 9s 8h 4s

and you have Jc Qh Kd Ac.

In this scenario, do I pot the turn, 2 callers... I will
be up against an all-in call fer sure if the board looks
like it made a hand, say something horrible like a 3s, Ts
or As...

So the question is: do you POT the turn again, with 1
card to go ?

I mean, it looks like half the deck could be trouble.
And, we don't need to be ultra-focused on this exact
scenario, just similar ones.

Thanks, again, all.

Yes, pot the turn.

And this hand further illustrates the importance of position because it will make the river a ton easier to play.

Pot the turn.

Then the following action pretty much is obvious:

No scare card, POT again.

Scare card, check, fold to a ridiculous bet...

Sound kosher ?

Not sure I agree here. If he had a lower set he probably would've pushed the turn. If he missed his draw he probably has crap or maybe he happened to hit a pair or two along the way chasing his draw. If I'm first to act, I might check to give him a chance to bluff a good part of the time. When I do bet(in either position) I'll usually bet way smaller than my turn bet to try to offer him great odds.

hmmm... interesting.

just played nearly this exact hand tonight.
with 2 hearts on the board, i flopped the nuts
A-high straight with no other draws.

somehow... i managed to get it all in after the flop...
the other player had trip Kings and the nuts flush
draw on the flop and did not improve.

of course, they weren't too happy and chided me a bit.
i ran the odds afterwards:

13/41 + ( 28/41 ) * ( 15/40 ) = 57% for them to win.

didn't realize I was that big of a dog!!
but i was thinking only flush draw at the time:

9/41 + ( 32/41 ) * ( 9/40 ) = 39%

These two quotes are connected.

It is very different to have two callers and see a safe turn than to face major resistance on the flop. That should alert you to the possibility of a big combo draw as even top set will fear your obvious straight once you show major interest.

And I think the As is the best spade you could hope for as it counterfeits the most likely low draw and rules out the most likely spade draw. (not that that is terribly important to your overall question)
