Middlemen = more money for the middle class, I'd think.

I live in Melbourne, Australia, and Id pretty much have to say, ittd be hard to get nay better than it is here.

Our City is large enough to have everything, its clean and people are cool. The nightlife is unreal, the food is tops, and we have events going on all year round.

Climate is pretty much spot on here, it does get cool in the winter, but never snows at sea level. In Spring it is perfect, and summer it gets hot enough, without having any major earthquakes.

The health system is really good, and Education is cheap.

And we have a great new cardroom herre at crown.

I havent been overseas yet, except for NZ, but Id imagine most of western and Northern Europe would have similar living standards, as well as North America. But really, If you are complaining about living in Melbourne, you are pretty hard to please.

I am American, grew up in Cleveland, lived mostly in Seattle since adulthood. I have also lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand and London, England.

I think the best thing about America might also be its worst:

So big that it has everything.

So big that you never learn about anything else because it has everything.

I am jealous of people who grew up in Europe and Asia surrounded by other countries. They were influenced by other cultures, learned other languages, saw how other people lived and generally speaking have more empathy for others because of these experiences, IMO.

I also think that America has lost a lot of its regional-ness and is becoming very homogeneous. Happening elsewhere too but not as bad from my experience.
