OT- Laments of a live pro

Since moving out to Vegas, about 90% of my play has been live. It's definitely changed my perspective, both on poker and life in Vegas. These are some observations.

-Poker chips are the most disgusting things on the face of the Earth. I'd ballpark about 20% of people I see leaving the bathroom actually washing their hands. What's the first thing they touch when they get back? Right. The chips that are about to go to your stack and in your hands. To make matters worse, I habitually play with my chips, shuffling and restacking them pretty much non-stop. I can't stop myself. It's like I'm riffling a handful of anuses. So disgusting. I'm seriously considering wearing latex gloves at the table.

- You know how you feel when you're 1 tabling online? Now imagine that you think you have visual reads on people. I've developed such a ridiculous case of FPS. I've bluffed more in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 2 years. Of course nobody ever folds because people love calling.

- I'm convinced that I have a ridiculous amount of physical tells. Next time I play seriously, I'm going to have to wear a hoodie and sunglasses and look like a total [censored]. Ugh.

-Table games are bad. Really bad.

-There are no local girls in Vegas who don't deal, play, or strip*.

- Limit is dumb.



*There is a non-zero chance that since these are the only places I go that I might be slightly off on this one.

On points 2, 3, 4, and 7 that's pretty much my personal live assessment. On point 5, I assume you mean "juicy" bad, then if so, then I concur again. Regarding point 6, live is still better than video.

Actually, the best way to cure yourself of all this is to go to a nasty cardroom, dirtier than the orleans and when you get ur rack, shove about 4-5 chips in your mouth and suck on them for about 15-20 minutes.
