Default Are my 7\'s strong enough to continue here?!?

I had been pretty inactive at the table. Pretty card dead. I had raised villains limps a few times, he called and c/f'd flop. But, he'd been a bit frisky with others at the table, and I went with my gut here in the first hand thinking he was full of it.

Hand 1

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $76.00
BB: $200.00
UTG: $191.00
MP: $49.50
CO: $814.50
Hero (BTN): $250.85

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
2 folds, CO calls $2.00, <font color="red">Hero raises to $8.00</font>, SB calls $7.00, BB folds, CO calls $6.00

Flop: ($26) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, CO checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $15.00</font>, SB folds, <font color="red">CO raises to $48.00</font>, Hero calls $33.00

Turn: ($122) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">CO bets $88.00</font>, Hero calls $88.00

River: ($298) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
CO checks, Hero checks

Pot Size: $298.00 ($3 Rake)

CO had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ([As 5s] Ace King high) and LOST (-$144.00)
Hero had K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and WON (+$151.00)

Thoughts on that hand appreciated. (I tried to induce something from him with a weak looking flop bet btw)

Then this is the very next hand:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $198.00
BB: $191.00
UTG: $49.50
MP: $670.50
Hero (CO): $401.85
BTN: $68.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP calls $2.00, <font color="red">Hero raises to $8.00</font>, BTN calls $8.00, 2 folds, MP calls $6.00

Flop: ($27) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
MP checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $20.00</font>, BTN folds, <font color="red">MP raises to $64.00</font>, Hero...

I personally think you should have made a stand or folded on the flop, and definitely on the turn if not.

I imagine that your 7s are good, but it's hard to decide if this is a hand you want to be playing for all your chips. If he has two overs with a flushdraw he is ahead of you % wise at the moment, and you'll be facing some very difficult decisions on the next two streets.

First hand, well played.

Second hand, I just fold. I generally don't even bet the flop into two villains. I'll take my chances with whatever outs they have and just get to a cheap showdown if possible, because this is a really crappy overpair.

yes you have the best hand on the flop a fair amount of the time, but I drop it.

Just too unlikely you will be making the correct decisions on turn and river.

Of course game flow plays some part in it, however, I think that turn call is pretty thin in hand 1 without a solid read.

Well, his read was that Villain was FOS, as he said.

EDIT: Just reread the first part of my post it was bad. You will never know where youre at here on later streets, I fold. Flop bet is std.

1 I think is fine if hed been getting bold lately and better than 2. I think 2 sucks because some time the turn will be a Tc or whatever and he'll hit his bluff and we'll call the turn or he could have a higher overpair. I just think its a bad spot to put money in with a marginal hand 200bb deep. He can bluff us when the diamond or straight card hit to just a crappy spot IMO.

Thinking that someone is FOS isn't a solid read imo.

What do you mean by "bit frisky with others at the table"?

Hand 1-You had a read, and went with it. Not much to say, except your read better be right.

hand2- 3betting obviously sucks. If we call here, we'll have $328 stacks with $155 in the pot. We have position, but villian has shown the willingness to fire two barells. In a vaccum, I'd call here with the intention of calling down most turn and river cards, even if they are scary overcards.
