Default Deep. NL50

The Villain (Ms.Click)is a decent NL50 player, haven't tangled with him that much. Both Villain and Hero is playing a TAG game. I think he has a few tricky plays in his arsenal.

Ongame converter
Hero ($122.35)
CO ($60)
Button ($123.60)
SB ($40.45)

ANTES/BLINDS
SB posts blind ($0.25), Hero posts blind ($0.50).

PRE-FLOP : Hero has J J
CO folds, Button bets $2, SB folds, Hero bets $6, Button calls $4.50.

FLOP: A J 2
Hero bets $8, Button calls $8.

TURN: Q
Hero bets $16, Button bets $40 !!!HERO DOES WHAT ?!? !!!

Shoves with his set and happily looks at two pair.

Bet a little bit more on the turn, the pot is ~28 so maybe 20-24.

Hmm. All-in but I think it is close. If we put her on a narrow range we are slightly behind, but I think we only need about 5% fold equity to make the shove good. If we also consider that she might do something stupid like call with a combo draw a very small percentage of the time then we can definitely justify shoving.

Board: Ah Jd 2h Qc

Wins Ties Equity
45.06% 0.00% 45.06% ( JsJh )
54.94% 0.00% 54.94% ( AA,QQ,AQ,AJ(25),KhQh(10),Th9h(10),KT,22 )

Edit: AJ added with .25 weight relative to other holdings

AJ has to be a small part of villans range too though less likley then the other hands.

as for the hand you have to push here if you got coolered by AA or QQ so be it.

I really don't like a push. He's very rarely gonna have hearts and a push can knock out a hand like AK. I'd call and lead the river (even a heart), we get looked up a lot lighter than if we shove the turn.

If he's solid then we pretty much have to c/f river if any broadway hits, no? I guess thats why I prefer a shove on the turn to avoid that situation in the first place.
